Introducing a Client is More Than “Sharing Their Details”.
Whether you’re an accountant, commercial finance broker, solicitor or another trusted adviser, you are introducing a business that has placed its confidence in your judgement. Naturally, you’ll want to know exactly what happens next.
At Partnership Invoice Finance, we have built our introducer process around one simple principle: look after the client as you would expect us to.
Here’s what you can expect when you are introducing a client to us.
Step One: We Start with a Conversation
Every introduction begins with a conversation between Partnership Invoice Finance and the introducer. Before speaking with your client, we take the time to understand the opportunity at a high level.
We will discuss the business; the reason funding is being explored and whether it sounds like something we can genuinely help with.
If we do not believe we are the right fit, we will be honest from the outset.
If we can help, we will agree the best way to move the introduction forward.
Step Two: We Work the Way That Suits You
Every introducer works slightly differently. Some prefer to gather information from their client before asking us to provide an initial indication of costs.
Others prefer to introduce us directly so we can have those conversations ourselves.
We are happy to work either way. Our role is to make the process straightforward for both you and your client.
Step Three: Understanding the Business
Once we are speaking with the client, our focus is on understanding the business before discussing funding options.
We will ask questions about:
- How the business operates.
- Annual turnover.
- The debtor book.
- Customer profile.
- Current cash flow challenges.
- Funding requirements.
We will also request information such as the latest accounts and debtor listings so we can build an accurate picture of the business.
The more we understand, the more accurately we can structure a funding proposal that reflects the client’s requirements.
Step Four: Building an Accurate Funding Proposal
Every proposal is built around the information we’ve gathered.
Rather than producing a generic quotation, we want to understand:
- The value of the debtor book.
- Fundable turnover.
- How much working capital is required.
- Future growth plans.
- Any operational considerations.
This allows us to present a proposal that reflects what the client needs, rather than simply providing a standard facility.
Step Five: Supporting the Client Throughout the Process
Our job does not stop once a quotation has been issued.
Throughout the application process, we’re continually asking questions, answering questions and gathering information to present a complete picture to our credit team.
That ongoing communication helps keep everything moving and ensures there are no unnecessary surprises later in the process.
Just as importantly, we keep the introducer informed along the way.
Honest Advice Comes First at Partnership Invoice Finance
One of the things that often surprises new introducers is that we don’t believe every enquiry should automatically become a funding facility.
If invoice finance isn’t the right solution, we will say so.
If another option is more appropriate, we’ll explain why.
And if the timing is not right, we’ll recommend waiting rather than encouraging a business to pay for a facility it doesn’t currently need.
For us, the right outcome is always more important than the quickest outcome.

Building Long-Term Introducer Relationships
Many of the professional advisers we work with have been introducing clients to Partnership Invoice Finance for years. Because they know their clients will receive honest advice, clear communication and a funding solution that’s tailored to their business.
Every introduction represents years of trust between an adviser and their client.
We never lose sight of that responsibility. We are members of UK Finance and conduct ourselves accordingly.
